Contribute to the Sierra Club
Contributions to the Sierra Club allow us to do the greatest variety of work with your dollar. We can use this money to support all of our environmental activities, including lobbying work and political endorsement efforts. These funds also help us purchase much needed equipment and services. This kind of money, known as 501(c)(4) money, can be used to accomplish all of the types of work that 501(c)(3) money (see below) can be used for, and more. It is the hardest to raise and the kind we most need.
Donations to the Sierra Club are not tax-deductible; they support our effective, citizen-based advocacy and lobbying efforts.
If you are not concerned with whether your gift is tax-deductible, please consider making your year-end donation to the Sierra Club.

Contribute to The Sierra Club Foundation
Contributions to The Sierra Club Foundation are used for all of our work that is strictly limited to education. We use this money, known as 501(c)(3) money to raise awareness about different environmental issues.
Contributions and gifts to the Sierra Club Foundation are tax-deductible as charitable contributions as they support grants for public education, research and public interest litigation necessary to further the Sierra Clubs conservation goals.
To make a donation to the Sierra Club Foundation:
Make a check payable to "The Sierra Club Foundation," note "Cumberland Chapter" in the memo, and mail to:
