About Sallie
I’m a former elementary school teacher and InterVarsity campus staff member who specialized in ministry to sorority women. I now spend my time as a wife, mom, writer, and homeschooler.
David and I met online via AOL back in the days when no one knew anyone who had married someone they met online. We met and married in eight months to the shock of many. Fifteen years later we’re still best friends and happily married.
Caroline is five years old and I am thrilled to have the opportunity to teach her about the exciting world of reading, history, science, nature and everything else!
I’ve taught in a variety of schools including private, Classical Christian, and charter. My own educational philosophies aligns most closely with Charlotte Mason. Caroline’s educational philosophy is probably unschooling so we’re in for some really fun times ahead!
Other things to know about me…
Child of the King saved by grace
Wife, mother, daughter, friend
Reader, thinker, writer, editor
INFJ (here, here, here and here) who reflects constantly and doesn’t know how to live any other way
Mother of an only child, a gracious gift bestowed later in life
Business owner with my best friend – my husband
Recovering perfectionist
Someone who thinks for herself, makes her own decisions, doesn’t live by anyone else’s philosophy, and refuses to be labeled as such and such
Lover of Christ who fails Him, sometimes often
Grace Livingston Hill devotee
Tri Delta who fits none of the sorority stereotypes
Previously blogged at Two Talent Living and A Gracious Home
Seeking to extend grace as it has been lavishly extended to me by Jehovah
