Please be aware that the quality of these PDF files varies. Issues prior to the late 1990s were scanned from printed copies of the journal. Some issues in the late 1990s use low-resolution images because the high-resolution files are no longer available. In general, the quality of each issue PDF is the best we are able to achieve while maintaining a reasonable file size.

Readers should also be aware that due to the difficulties of controlling color appearance across different monitors, the editors cannot guarantee that accurate colors will be displayed in the electronic versions of Gems & Gemology. Readers needing accurate color representation should refer to the printed issues of the journal.
