The ongoing violence in Sudan has driven over 220,000 refugees into South Sudan and almost 90,000 into Ethiopia in search of refuge and safety. Shelling and aerial bombardments have devastated the lives and homes of thousands and sent many Sudanese into a fearful flee for survival.

Sudanese refugee Abuzet Awad lost his two young daughters when his village was attacked. The two girls aged nine and ten, were killed by a bomb while collecting firewood. Fearing for the rest of his family, Abuzet made the decision to flee. “There was nothing more I could do for my daughters,” he exclaimed. “I had to be a man and take care of the rest of my family.” With your kind donation UNHCR can help refugees like Abuzet and his family receive the life-saving relief and support they desperately need once they arrive in the safety of a camp.
