Hundreds filled Mary Chapel for the second annual Community Day of Prayer.

The event, held on the first day that spring semester classes start, celebrates the rich faith traditions at the College.

The prayer was led by Rev. Philip L. Boroughs, S.J., president. Members of the Holy Cross community, representing their respective faiths, read and sang prayers from their traditions.

Watch clips from this year’s event, and hear from Marybeth Kearns-Barrett, director of the Chaplains’ Office, and Virginia Coakley, assistant chaplain and director of Protestant and ALANA (African-American, Latin American, Asian-American, and Native American heritage) ministries; along with participants Ahmad Nabi Hassanzoy ’13, Annie Le ’13, Neal Lipsitz, associate dean for student development; and attendees Christina Chen, director of Academic Services and Learning Resources, and Caner Dagli, assistant professor of religious studies.

As a Greek Orthodox graduate I’m happy to see that the ecumenical spirit is still alive. In a very spiritual and real sense, we are all ONE.
