Practice for Jr High starts Monday the 3rd of November at 2:50 PM until 5:30 PM.   Registration information is in the parent letter.

Practice of 4th – 6th grade and all club wrestlers who do not attend Mapleton Jr. High should be in the room by 3:50 until 5:30 also on Monday November 3rd.

PreK – third graders should all have a practice on Tuesday according to the schedules posted earlier.

Winter Jr High, City Recreation for both Springville and Mapleton, and club wrestling preliminary schedule:

Pre-K through 6th grade Registration online currently and will continue until the parent meetings without late fees.

Wednesday October 22:  All day PE and Health Class presentations at Mapleton Jr High for students during class.

Wednesday October 22 and running for two weeks will be Mapleton Jr High registration which must take place at the finance office at the Jr. High.

Wednesday October 22:  8:00 PM at 1368 N 200 W Mapleton.  Volunteer coaches training session for all parents who are willing to volunteer to coach a team.  No experience needed and rebates will be given from your registration fee for those coaches who head coach or serve as an assistant coach during this first winter session.  The training will be approximately an hour.  Athletes and parents do not need to attend unless they plan on coaching.

Thursday night October 23 during regular fall league practice will be a weigh in for those registered for pre-season state at the Legacy Center on Saturday.   This is only for those completing the last session and not for those in the Winter session that is just about to start.

Monday October 27th.   This is the ONLY Monday that any wrestling will be held for the entire year.   So for those who honor the local family night tradition, there will be no Monday practices from here on out but due to the tight schedule with other sports, our initial parent meeting and coaches introduction will be this night.

Monday October 27th All Pre-K, Kindergarten and 1st graders and their parents will meet from 5:30 to 6:30 at the Mapleton Jr. High Wrestling room for their initial introduction to their coaches and a rules clinic.   While the parents will have a parent meeting and receive all information for the season.

Monday October 27th All 2nd and third graders AND their parents will meet at 7:00 to 8:00 at Mapleton Jr. High Wrestling room for their initial introduction to their coaches, rules clinic and parent meeting.

Tuesday October 28th and/or Thursday October 30th will be the first formal practices of the season for all PreK though 3rd graders.  Those times will be assigned to you Monday night at your parent meetings and will take place between 5:30 at the earliest and 7:00 start time at the latest at various locations.

Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, October 28th-30th will be the first Open Room practice for Mapleton Jr. High students 7th-9th graders starting at 3:00 and ending at 5:00 each of these three days.

Tuesday, October 28th will be the first parent meeting for ALL Parents for 4th graders through 9th graders for both city recreation and Jr. High wrestlers.   This parent meeting will be in the Cafetorium at Mapleton Jr. High at 5:30 until 6:30 PM.

Wednesday Oct 29th is the Utah Valley University Inter-squad meet at the Shurian Center (UVU campus) at 7:00 PM.

Friday October 31st is Halloween and there will be no practice for any age group.

Starting in November, the Winter Session 1 will run three full weeks and then take a week off for Thanksgiving, then it will run three more weeks and be done before Christmas.

PreK-3rd graders should expect to practice one time a week on either a Tuesday or a Thursday each of the seven weeks of session 1.  Those times and locatoins will be assigned during your parent meeting.  Competitions will be every Wednesday and Saturdays.   Wednesday competitions will also be in the evenings and is included in the cost and are all in South Utah County.   Saturday competitions are optional, will have additional fees, and will sometimes be in neighboring counties.

All practices and weekday competitions for Pre-K through 3rd graders will take place between the time of 5:15 and 8:00 PM depending on age.

Winter session 2 will start after the new year and run five weeks instead of 8 weeks.

All 4th-9th gradres will practice on all school days and will start practices after school.   Mapleton Jr. High Wrestlers will be practicing first right after school and 4th-6th graders will follow immediately thereafter and practice until approximately 5:00.   If school is out, then practice will not happen.  If school is in, then plan on practicing each of those days.

Registration for PreK-6th grade Wrestling starts today.   Click on the registration pull down menu on this site to register for this upcoming season.   The season for the grade school wrestlers will be starting around the third week of October this year.   Also, Jr. High and High School teams are almost ready to launch.   Watch for more information here in the next few weeks for 7-12 grade student athletes!

Also, A club wide clinic is this Wednesday at Maple Mountain HS wrestling room with Greg Williams and Ethen Lofthouse.  4:30 to 7:00 PM.   For all MMHS, MJH, SJH, Club and Mapleton or Springville City Recreation Wrestlers.

Also the USA Wrestling Utah Hall of Fame Banquet is at UVU on Saturday evening Oct. 11.
