The Association of Biblical Counselors offers several training options to fit the wide range of our diverse membership. Following are general categories for our training:

I. General Membership Training

General membership training occurs simply by becoming a member of ABC. As a member of ABC, you will have access to literally 100s of high-quality, downloadable resources for your counseling ministry. These resources include homework handouts, assessments, and portraits all designed to bolster your work as a biblical counselor. Additionally, members receive a weekly newsletter that contains counseling tips and recommendations on a myriad of issues you may encounter while serving others. ABC also provides its members with an impressive on-line eJournal, The Journal for Counseling and Discipleship, with recognized contributors in the world of biblical counseling and soul care. II. Biblical Counseling & Discipleship Courses

ABC also offers specific biblical counseling courses. These courses may be taken as stand-alone options, and do not require prerequisite training. Whether you want to take a course individually to enhance your understanding of a particular issue or offer these courses in a small group or Sunday school format, our biblical counseling courses offer rich content in a concise format. III. Certification Training

For individuals or churches seeking to develop a counseling ministry in their within the local body, or who simply want to obtain a certification in biblical counseling, ABC offers various levels of certification training. These consist of (1) Basic Certification, (2) Advanced Certification, and (3) Certified Instructor.
