October 11, 2012, marked the beginning of the Year of Faith, a period during which Pope Benedict XVI has asked us to proclaim the good news with our actions. You proclaim the love of Christ when you feed hungry people, when you give shelter to our homeless brothers and sisters, and when you lift up those who are struggling.
With your support, the work of Catholic Relief Services answers the Gospel's call to serve the poor. We could not do this lifesaving work without you. That is why we are inviting you to deepen your commitment to helping the poor overseas by taking the CRS Year of Faith Challenge.
Participating is easy. The following list will help you get started on bringing your faith to life by helping poor men, women and children overseas. We will add more items throughout the year.
"The Church will evangelize the world...by her living witness of fidelity to the Lord Jesus."
—"Evangelii Nuntiandi" ("On Evangelization in the Modern World"), 1975, Pope Paul VI
"I will demonstrate my faith to you from my works."
—James 2:18

CRS Raising Hope
Create a fundraising page
Raise money for CRS by creating a personal fundraising page through Raising Hope. One meaningful way our donors use these pages is to ask family and friends to donate to your page in lieu of giving you birthday or Christmas gifts.
Invite a CRS speaker to your parish
Ask your parish to invite a speaker from CRS to talk about how the Year of Faith links to the social mission of the Catholic Church.
Be part of the new CRS Rice Bowl
CRS Rice Bowl (formerly Operation Rice Bowl) is undergoing more changes than just the name. Be sure to visit the new site and learn about all of the new features.
Find a volunteer event
Want to join a movement to end hunger? Learn about the CRS Helping Hands program and either find a volunteer event to join or start your own. It's a great way for you and your parish, Catholic youth group, JustFaith group and more to roll up your sleeves and package meals to be shipped overseas.
Sign up for email alerts, including our free monthly e-newsletter, the CRSbriefing, which is filled with inspiring stories of hope, and discover how you can get involved in the work of Catholic Relief Services.
