This research is funded for the period of March 2000 through February 2004 by Oregon Sea Grant. Included below are links that showcase some of the techniques and results from this work. There is still much analysis to be completed, including Thermo-Luminescence (TL) and C14 dates.
The overall goal of this work is to establish the emplacement times and mechanisms of the coastal dune sheets that occur along the west coast of North America. This seemingly simple result has implications for many other fields from Sustainability to Archaelogy to Engineering.
