Community Development
The community mural creates a point of pride in Johannesburg neighborhoods where the xenophobic violence occurred and where prejudice still exists. Many of these communities are littered with decrepit structures and graffi tied walls. The creation of the mural builds solidarity as it unifies diverse groups of people to improve their community.
