$4.8 Million Awarded for The Experience Project

Center Co-Directors Michael Rea and Samuel Newlands, and philosopher L.A. Paul (University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill) will lead a new interdisciplinary research initiative that explores the nature and implications of transformative experiences, the character of religious and spiritual experiences, and how work on transformative experience may illumine our understanding of religious and spiritual experiences. We intend to fund research on the nature of experience in philosophy, psychology, sociology, philosophy of religion, theology, and religious studies. Read more about the project on The Experience Project website.

The Journal of Analytic Theology

Introducing the Global Philosophy of Religion Calendar

spacer

We are excited to announce the second volume of the Journal of Analytic Theology, a new, open access, international joint publication of the Center for Philosophy of Religion at the University of Notre Dame and Baylor University. It explores theological and meta-theological topics in a manner that prizes terminological clarity and argumentative rigor, including historical studies that seek to elucidate conceptual challenges or explore strategies for addressing them.

Our website is now equipped with a calendar featuring conferences, workshops, call for papers, and other events in philosophy of religion outside of the Center for Philosophy of Religion.
