Imagine doing what you love with people who inspire you. That’s UserVoice. We believe in working together to create great experiences, not just for our users and their customers, but for you too. We’re here to grow, learn, laugh, take on new challenges, solve problems, and help each other. Sound like fun? We like you already!
As head of engineering for UserVoice, Jonathan’s very pragmatic, writes a lot of code (which he likes to ship often), and enjoys empowering his developers to put out a good product. Also, he hates that so many developers write massive software systems that function only to share cat pictures. But he does like cats.
In a former life, Mark was chef-owner of two restaurants, but then he learned HTML, CSS, Ruby, and Javascript, sold his businesses, and became a developer. He may not like cooking anymore, but he does love building systems from scratch, working collaboratively with his fellow developers, and integrating Erlang with UserVoice.
Joshua’s been designing and developing for 17 years but still faces every challenge with a sense of wonder and excitement. That’s because he loves making things that people use. He’s also involved in just about everything at UserVoice, from defining feature requirements to marketing, and much more. That’s why we call him Dad.
While his title may sound fancy, Kevin’s a down-to-earth guy who just likes to wear a lot of hats. In addition to handling day-to-day systems operations for UserVoice, Kevin’s also the DBA, the network guy, and the in-house IT guy. That makes him the resident geek.
John, who started programming as a child, is a developer and designer with a great love for interface design. Whether he’s pushing pixels, playing with HTML, CSS, and Javascript, or mocking up interfaces in Illustrator, John enjoys the challenges of his work and has a passion for making stuff look as good as it works.
After earning a degree in art, Brad learned to program. Seven years later, he’s fluent in HTML, CSS and Javascript and works on everything from product features to marketing materials. A native of Philadelphia and huge sports fan, Brad just moved to the city of angels, where he’s already rising in prominence as his neighborhood’s very own “Broad Street Bully.”
By the time Austin was old enough to reach a keyboard, he started making computers do cool things. Today, he’s addicted to the joy of figuring out how to make computers do what he wants them to do. He’s also pretty sweet on being part of the team at UserVoice, where he divides his time between working on new features and maintaining the iOS SDK.
Joey’s been building cool stuff for the web since he was a wee lad. Now, he uses Ruby and Javascript to build cool stuff for UserVoice. In 2012, he single-handedly saved the dev team from a fiery grave after an ill-conceived team-building zeppelin excursion, proving, once again, that there’s nothing he can’t do.
Raimo’s interest in code developed long ago when he started building DOS games and algorithmic solvers. Lucky for us, he moved from Finland to San Francisco in early 2012 to join our team. Now he spends his days deep in Javascript and Ruby programming new integrations and features.
