Chilly Gonzales

by Tyler on January 3, 2014

in Inspire & Be Inspired, Music

spacer The effortless melodies and delightfully jazzy musical phrases that make up the solo piano works of Chilly Gonzales are as intoxicating as they are inspiring. And what’s more, the tone of the piano both of these albums are recorded on (and the overall recording/sound engineering) is as much a part of the charm as the songs themselves.

I highly recommend checking out his two Solo Piano albums (and particularly the songs listed below):

  • Solo Piano
    • Manifesto
    • Dot

  • Solo Piano II
    • White Keys
    • Kenaston
    • Minor Fantasy
    • Escher
    • Rideaux Lunaires
    • Nero’s Nocturne
    • Venetian Blinds
    • Epigram in E
    • Othello
    • Tarantelle

You won’t be disappointed!

Islands – Essential Einaudi

Inspire & Be Inspired

It wasn’t but a few weeks ago that I wrote about my discovery of the contemporary Italian composer and pianist Ludovico Einaudi, and here I go again. You must understand, it couldn’t be helped. Ludovico Einaudi released a new double album in the US iTunes Store this week that should be a staple in every […]

Inspire & Be Inspired

In college I worked part time as a web designer and developer for California State University, Chico. The World Wide Web and I were still relatively young then, with all of the awkward makings of adolescents convinced of their newfound knowledge. And with the help of the university’s high-speed Internet connection to carry the conversation, […]
