Top entrepreneuers honored

Entrepreneurs from CNX Gas Corp, Vivisimo Inc., Manchester Bidwell Corp. and BPL Global were among a group of local winners of the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of The Year 2007 Awards.
The winners, which are from upstate New York, Western Pennsylvania and West Virginia, received their awards at an event Friday night in Pittsburgh.
"This year's winners are truly an inspiration to all," Jim Marucci, Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of The Year program director for upstate New York, Western Pennsylvania and West Virginia said in a release. "We salute them for their drive, determination and hard work - and congratulate them on their success."
The award recognizes entrepreneurs with growing businesses, and winners are selected by an independent panel of judges.
This year's winners are:
Manufacturing: Peter McIlroy II, chairman and CEO of Robroy Industries
Distribution: David Goetz, chairman and CEO of Lewis-Goetz & Co. Inc.
Product development and business services: Nicholas DeIuliis, president of CNX Gas Corp.
E-commerce: Raul Valdes-Perez, CEO and chairman of Vivisimo Inc.
Technology: Keith Schaefer, president and CEO of BPL Global Ltd.
Financial services: John Pelusi Jr., CEO of HFF Inc. & Holliday Fenoglio Fowler LP
Emerging business: Domenic Marzano, president and CEO of Velocity Magnetics Inc.
Arts & education: William Strickland Jr., president and CEO of Manchester Bidwell Corp.
These regional award winners are now eligible to enter Ernst & Young's national program.
