A new Italian truck has rolled into the District, named Bella Vita Italian Wheels! It is the mobile version of their restaurant, located in Manassas, VA. Check out their page for more info and menu details!
This Halloween-themed Truckeroo is gearing back up for happy hour service! Bring your coworkers and friends to Half St & M St SE to get your evening started off right. Fill up on great food truck fare! Adult beverages, music, and games are on hand. Tonight’s event runs until 9pm!
The gates are open at DC Fairgrounds – Half St & M St SE – just outside of the Navy Yard/Ballpark metro entrance. Come celebrate Halloween with us!
Trick or treat at the food trucks and see them dressed in their costumes. Consume hot chocolate & cider and enjoy the day with covered and uncovered seating. Live music, games, a costume contest, and great food are here, too! The event runs until 9pm. Here is a list of the trucks serving.
Truckerboo will be held this Friday from 11am – 9pm! This Halloween-themed Truckeroo will feature 15 food trucks in their costumes, along with coffee, hot chocolate, cider AND trick-or-treating at the trucks.

The once lucrative serving spots in Tysons Corner, Greensboro and Solutions and Howard and Boone, are now officially off-limits to food trucks, despite healthy demand from area office workers seeking alternative lunch options. After an initial flare up this past September as reported by The Tysons Corner and Washington Post, Fairfax County eased the food truck rules on October 7th, allowing food trucks to serve on private property for a $100 annual zoning permit (down from $16,375), in addition to a $35 Solicitor’s License and $40 Food Establishment Permit.
Yesterday, some trucks had tried to continue the tradition of serving at Greensboro and Solutions, but were promptly shut down.
Will we start to see some deals being made between commercial property owners and food truck owners?
Launching earlier this month is Over the Rice food truck! They serve proteins and veggies over rice or salad in the Arlington area. Here is more info and menu details!
