Jon Ronson is fascinated by madness, strange behaviour and the human mind. He’s been on patrol with America’s real-life superheroes; gone to a UFO convention in the Nevada desert with Robbie Williams; interviewed a robot and asked her if she has a soul; travelled to the Alaskan theme town of North Pole (where every day is Christmas Day) to investigate a high-school murder plot; met a man who tried to split the atom in his kitchen and another who is preparing to welcome aliens to earth. He talks about these frequently hilarious, sometimes disturbing, but always entertaining stories in this special event.

Jon Ronson is an award-winning writer and documentary maker. He is the author of three bestsellers, Them: Adventures with Extremists, The Men Who Stare at Goats and The Psychopath Test, and two collections, Out of the Ordinary: True Tales of Everyday Craziness and What I Do: More True Tales of Everyday Craziness. The Men Who Stare at Goats was made into a major Hollywood movie starring George Clooney, Ewan McGregor, Kevin Spacey and Jeff Bridges, and The Psychopath Test is also to be made into a major movie. Jon’s film Frank, inspired in part by his time as part of the Frank Sidebottom Oh Blimey Big Band, and starring Michael Fassbender, will be released later this year.
