The Institute of Texan Cultures is hosting the 5th annual Distinguished Artist Veteran art show, organized by VSA Texas. The arts are a therapeutic tool for many of our returning military personnel: drawings, painting, sculpture and more.

“Modern Masterpieces by Texas Quilters, 1989-2010,” and “Texas Art Quilts, 1993-2011,” two exhibits from the Texas Quilt Museum, showcasing more than 40 contemporary Texas art quilts.

Six student quilts will be exhibited at the Institute of Texan Cultures. Created by students in 4-H clubs across the state, the quilts are bound for special programs including Project Linus and Quilts of Valor.
