Distinguished Artist Veterans

The Institute of Texan Cultures is hosting the 5th annual Distinguished Artist Veteran art show, organized by VSA Texas. The arts are a therapeutic tool for many of our returning military personnel: drawings, painting, sculpture and more.

Texas Art Quilts and Modern Masterpieces

“Modern Masterpieces by Texas Quilters, 1989-2010,” and “Texas Art Quilts, 1993-2011,” two exhibits from the Texas Quilt Museum, showcasing more than 40 contemporary Texas art quilts.

4-H Quilts and Student Masterpieces

Six student quilts will be exhibited at the Institute of Texan Cultures. Created by students in 4-H clubs across the state, the quilts are bound for special programs including Project Linus and Quilts of Valor.

Toy Day

Free admission for children ages 12 and under when they bring a new, unwrapped toy for the San Antonio Fire Department toy drive. Family-friendly activities planned.

ITC accepts cash, Discover, MasterCard, Visa, and traveler's checks. The museum does not accept personal checks.

Parking

ITC has limited parking available to visitors and construction beginning Sept. 14, 2013 and continuing for 11 months is expected to route all traffic through the Cesar Chavez entrance. Additional parking may be found in nearby municipal lots at varying prices.
 
Complimentary bus parking is provided to field trips and group tours. With Convention Center expansion and Hemisfair construction, routes to the bus lot have changed. Get directions.
