Beyond the Dark Veil
Even if you missed the Last Gasp Kickstarter from last month, The Thanatos Archive book, Beyond the Dark Veil: Post Mortem & Mourning Photography, is now available to pre-order on Amazon. Quantities are limited, but I know that Loved to Death in San Francisco has received a shipment of them already!
The Thanatos Archive is home an incredibly extensive collection of original nineteenth and early twentieth century post-mortem and memorial photographs and memorabilia, dating as far back as the 1840s. Hosting an expansive collection online, it is supported by the sponsorship of its members. You may browse the collection without a subscription, however you will only have access to thumbnails of the incredible images and not to the full size, and will also be offered discounts to their incredible shop. I highly recommend paying the small subscriber fee, it is worth it for the images alone.
Click here to pre-order the book on Amazon, or request it at your local independent bookseller!

Burial Ground :: Way of the Mystic
The collective vision of Jamie Mooers and Bill Crisafi has birthed the newly re-launched Burial Ground, with its inaugural lookbook, Way of the Mystic, photographed by Courtney Brooke Hall of Light Witch.
Burial Ground is forged over a fascination with occultism, magic, spirituality, and a deep nostalgia and adoration of old New England. The material sourced for the jewelry finds its origins in Bill and Jamie’s frequent trips to the New England woodlands. Striving to ensure that every piece evokes the gifts of the Earth, Burial Ground’s original designs are a tangible manifestation of the duo’s devotion to the elements of the seen and the unseen.
Prints of the ethereal Way of the Mystic editorial are available to purchase as a set of three on the Light Witch website, which also will include a coupon code for 20% off of the Burial Ground shop (coupon code will accompany only the first 25 sets sold).

The Smallest Apocalypse
Some of you may have noticed that I have a real fascination with miniatures. Tiny things just delight me, especially creepy tiny things, and I have a pretty massive collection of doll-house oddities. But Lori Nix’s intricately detailed, itty-bitty apocalypse dioramas are a whole other level of awesome. More photos at Dangerous Minds.

Haute Macabre Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab Holiday Pre-Sale Begins
That which is Below corresponds to that which is Above, and that which is Above corresponds to that which is Below, to accomplish the miracle of the One Thing.
Inspired by the Hermetic philosophy in which all things, in all reams of heaven and earth and below, work in unison with one another, despite their opposing natures, to achieve one magical goal. With this in mind, the Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab fragrances exclusively for Haute Macabre are opposite yet complimentary to each other, sultry and innocent, musky and sweet.
Pre-Orders are currently open for orders to be shipped late November to early December, 2014.
As Above contains leather drenched with white patchouli, oak bark, bourbon vanilla, bitter almond, and Moroccan jasmine.
So Below contains amber and black copal with black coconut, Sumatran red patchouli, green cardamom pod, and golden musk.
As Above, So Below are available to purchase individually or as a set.
The Original Haute Macabre scent contains oak leaf, bourbon vanilla, almond husk, and black leather accord darkened by a 13-year aged black patchouli.
