• Can SpreadsheetGear 2012 be deployed royalty free?
  SpreadsheetGear 2012 can be deployed royalty free with most client and server applications. Please see the license agreement for limitations.
• How many developer licenses do I need to purchase?
  One developer license is required for each and every developer working on any application which directly or indirectly references any SpreadsheetGear assembly.
• Is Excel required to use SpreadsheetGear 2012?
  No, Excel is not required to use SpreadsheetGear 2012. Using Excel in a server environment is not supported, which makes SpreadsheetGear 2012 a good solution for your server applications as well as your client applications.
• Is COM required to use SpreadsheetGear 2012?
  No, SpreadsheetGear 2012 is 100 percent safe managed code written exclusively for the .NET Framework. All that is required is the .NET Framework and the appropriate SpreadsheetGear assemblies.
• Does SpreadsheetGear 2012 support Excel 2007 and Excel 2010?
  SpreadsheetGear 2012 provides robust support for Excel 2007-2010 Open XML (.xlsx) and macro-enabled Open XML (.xlsm) workbooks as well as Excel 97-2003 (.xls) workbooks.
• Does SpreadsheetGear 2012 support Excel 2013?
  SpreadsheetGear 2012 supports Excel 2007-2010 Open XML (.xlsx) and macro-enabled Open XML (.xlsm) workbooks which are compatible with Excel 2013. We have done limited testing with Excel 2013 and we are not aware of any problems. We will add official Excel 2013 support in a future version.
• Does SpreadsheetGear 2012 support charts?
  SpreadsheetGear 2012 comes with the most comprehensive Excel compatible charting support found in any .NET component, including charting APIs, chart rendering and chart editing.
• Do you have a list of supported Excel functions?

• Do you have samples for Windows Forms Applications?
  SpreadsheetGear 2012 comes with the SpreadsheetGear Explorer sample solutions for C# and Visual Basic. The SpreadsheetGear Explorer is a helpful Windows Forms Application sample soluton for Visual Studio 2005, Visual Studio 2008, Visual Studio 2010, Visual Studio 2012 and Visual Studio 2013. • How do I use SpreadsheetGear 2012 in a Visual Studio 2005 / 2008 / 2010 / 2012 / 2013 or Visual Web Developer Express Edition Web Site Project?

• Can multiple versions of SpreadsheetGear 2012 be used at the same time on one machine?
  Yes. SpreadsheetGear 2012 includes strong named assemblies which enables the installation and use of multiple versions on one machine.
• Why don't I see SpreadsheetGear listed under the .NET tab when using Add Reference?
  Visual Studio only looks for new .NET components once. Be sure to close and restart Visual Studio after installing SpreadsheetGear 2012.
• Why does the IntelliSense and Dynamic Help not work in Visual Studio?
  If you recently installed a new version of SpreadsheetGear, you may need to remove any references to SpreadsheetGear assemblies from your project using the Solution Explorer window in Visual Studio. First, remove any old references, then, add any new ones back by using the .NET tab of the Add Reference dialog.
  
  It is also important to note that Visual Studio 2010 replaced the MS Help 2 system with the new Microsoft Help Viewer 1.0 system. This new help system does not have Dynamic Help, though it does still support IntelliSense, and pressing F1 on a term such as "IWorkbookSet".

  Note: It may be necessary to delete any occurences of any SpreadsheetGear assemblies from your project directory before adding any new assemblies.
