A rough diamond sold today for $35 million. This is a record sale price for a rough diamond, and certainly adds value and interest in large, even uncut diamonds. Many large diamonds have sold for record prices in the past twelve months, it seems that the trend is continuing.

Weighing 507 carats in it;s rough form, this piece of rock could turn out to be quite a large cut and polished diamond as well. IT was estimated to be valued at around $20 million before it went on the market, and it fetched nearly double that price. We can’t wait to see the cut stone that comes of it.
