The Fix's best state-based political Tweeters

By Chris Cillizza

View Best Political Tweets in a full screen map

Ever wonder who you should follow on Twitter if you care about politics in Indiana? Or Wyoming? Or Maine?

Us too! (Nerds unite!)

And so, with your help, we have compiled a list of the best political tweeters/tweeps in each state. It's a combination of reporters, political operatives, partisans and just plain folks who use Twitter to keep their followers abreast of the latest developments in their state's politics.

You can follow the whole list on Twitter or click on the map above to see the list of highlighted political tweeters in your favorite state. (A HUGE debt of gratitude is owed by the entire Fix community to Fix Rachel for sifting the suggestions, building the map and creating the Twitter list.)

One caveat: these are suggestions by and for Fix readers with a few of our own favorites thrown in. We don't vouch for what every person on this list or what they write/tweet.

Of course, this list is organic so we need your help making it better. Have suggestions for who should be added? Send them to either #fixfavtweeters on Twitter or leave their Twitter handle in the comments section below. We'll keep updating the list as the election wears on to ensure Fixistas are getting the best stuff out there.
