The Philosophers' Magazine

The Philosophers' Magazine (often TPM) was founded by Julian Baggini and Jeremy Stangroom in 1997. Published four times a year, TPM is a real magazine of real philosophy. It contains essays, features, debates, interviews, columns, news and reviews. Each issue feautures a single-issue forum which contains a variety of articles around a specific theme, such as bioethics, existentilialism, sex, after 11 September and women thinkers. The magazine is mainly written by professional philosophers but it is not technical and it attracts a broad international audience. There is also TPM the website, which is self-contained, equally philosophical and different from the magazine.

The trial issues include: A forum on Poverty and Duty with an introduction by Alex Voorhoeve, Jonathan Glover being impatient about poverty and contributions by Paul Collier, David Miller and Linda Yueh.

There is a profile of Mylo the rock star who is an ex(?)philosopher and an essay by Richard Shusterman on Fitness and the Body.
