Evasi0n iOS 7 Jailbreak

evad3rs has just released evasi0n7 1.0.3 to fix the reboot loop issues that was affecting Retina iPad mini users.

Apple just seeded the third beta version of iOS 7.1 to developers.

evad3rs have just released an update for the evasi0n 7.x Untether package on Cydia for users who had jailbroken their iPhone, iPad or iPod touch using evasi0n7 1.0.0 (the inital version of evasi0n7 that was released over the weekend).

Hot on the heels of releasing evasi0n7 1.0.1 update that removed TaiG, the Chinese App Store from the package, evad3rs have published another open letter to the jailbreak community.

When evasi0n7 was released on Sunday, it raised some serious privacy and piracy related concerns after jailbreakers found out that it installed the Chinese App Store.

evad3rs have released an update for evasi0n7, the untethered jailbreak for iOS 7 – iOS 7.0.1 for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch.

evasi0n7 1.0.1 does not include the controversial TaiG Chinese App Store, which came bundled with the untethered jailbreak when it was released over the weekend.

Geohot has made a re-entry in the jailbreaking scene after a long absence, having tried to race the evad3rs team to an iOS 7 jailbreak, and also trying to sell it for $350k. Following these unsuccessful attempts, he has posted a breakdown of how exactly the userland portion of evasi0n works.

evad3rs caught many of us completely off guard by releasing evasi0n7, the eagerly awaited untethered jailbreak for iOS 7 – iOS 7.0.4.

Unlike previous jailbreaks, the evasi0n7 jailbreak has been quite controversial.

evad3rs have disabled the default installation of the TaiG Chinese App Store after the backlash from the jailbreak community for bundling it with the evasion7 jailbreak.
