Masterclass

Set up by the Theatre Royal Haymarket in 1998 to give young people the chance to learn from and be inspired by leading artists from theatre, film and TV, the hugely successful Masterclass programme has now welcomed over 65,000 people aged 17-30.

With a year-round programme of free talks, workshops, special projects and career advice sessions, Masterclass is a unique charity providing exceptional creative opportunities for young people interested in all aspects of theatre from acting and directing to writing and producing.

The impressive list of over 250 past masters includes: Lenny Henry, Helen Mirren, Nicholas Hytner, Danny DeVito, Kwame Kwei-Armah, Sheridan Smith, Deborah Warner, Patricia Hodge, Alan Ayckbourn, Idris Elba, Derek Jacobi and Joanna Lumley. All have shared their knowledge, enthusiasm and expertise with young people as part of Masterclass at the Haymarket.
