Eagle Point (Resort)
Perched high upon a stunning location in the Tushar Mountains, Eagle Point Resort in Beaver is Utah's newest ski and snowboard resort. Discover a perfect getaway from the crowded slopes and high prices of the big resorts. Eagle Point is a scenic 3.5 hour drive from Las Vegas and Salt Lake City and 6-9 hours from Arizona and southern California. Guests will find a vast playground of wide ranging terrain, including the steepest runs in southern Utah, tree-lined groomers of beginner and intermediate variety, and renowned backcountry touring just outside of the resort boundaries. Receiving an average of 400 inches of the Greatest Snow on Earth™ each year, Eagle Point Resort provides an authentic mountain adventure with modern comforts and exceptional guest service.
A once popular ski area since it opened in the early 70s and operated until 2002 as Mt. Holly and, later, Elk Meadows, Eagle Point Resort was reintroduced to the public in 2010. The current owners, three friends from outside the ski industry, envisioned a boutique resort with challenging and enjoyable terrain, modern amenities, lively entertainment and the highest standards in guest service. These qualities have made Eagle Point Resort Utah's best kept secret, for now...
Amidst a stunning alpine backdrop, the resort offers five lifts and two transport snow cats with access to over 600 skiable acres and 40 runs ranging from tree-lined groomers to the most challenging runs in Southern Utah. Beyond the slopes, a progressive terrain park, snowshoeing trails will entertain the whole family. A full service resort, Eagle Point offers PSI-AASI certified instructors, children's programs, and a full fleet of rental and demo equipment. Trained technicians are on staff for quick tunes or equipment repairs.
The 1,200 acre privately-owned resort area features:
- the Canyonside Lodge, a 12,000 square foot newly renovated lodge with restaurant, bar, lounge, general store, conference space and hot tub garden;
- a quaint village of 120 condos and cabins, with a wide variety of rental options;
- the Skyline Lodge, with a full service rental and repair shop, snow sports school, cafeteria and retail store;
- an on-mountain warming station nicknamed, the "Lookout", with spectacular 360 degree views of the Tushar Mountains; and a scenic 18 mile drive up Utah State Highway 153, which is undergoing a multi-million dollar improvement and widening project scheduled to be complete by Fall 2012.
If you like to adventure beyond the resort boundaries, you will find some of the Utah's best backcountry touring terrain surrounding Eagle Point. In cooperation with the National Forest Service, the resort offers five gates where skiers and riders can access the vast lands and peaks of Fishlake National Forest.
