Thorough as always. The common thread that winds its way through your analysis of his defensive and offensive skills is what might be called eye-ball coordination. Given the way he's off at the crack of the bat and the way he's able to decipher pitches coming out of the hand, he must have exceptional vision. Sounds as if there are only a few refinements needed at this point, and that getting used to pitchers setting him up with good stuff middle out - figuring out how to handle those offerings - might be the big one.
Thanks again.
Power concedes nothing without a demand. It never did and it never will. ~ Frederick Douglass

My theory from when I saw him in Frederick: he'll need to get his front foot down earlier to be able to handle pitches all over the plate. He was planting that thing quite late when I saw him, not giving him enough time to adjust his swing path against quality stuff. But I'm confident he'll be able to do that. Or whatever it is he actually needs to do ... because in the end, what do I know?
Sounded good, though, and he definitely does get his foot down late.
