FEMA (www.fema.gov/apply-assistance) disaster relief is available for all people affected by Hurricane Sandy. They are available for homeowners, business owners, and apartment renters. There are also links available SBA (www.sba.gov/) loans which will be low interest.

Anyone needing assistance can contact FEMA at 800-621-3362. The process will take about 30 minutes to complete. You can also go online to www.disasterassistance.gov/ (www.disasterassistance.gov/) and complete your application online. They will ask for social security numbers for all members of the household. If you don’t have all social security numbers at the time, you can go back and add them later. So start your application as soon as possible.
