I’ve Moved! Visit Chase The Light!
It’s been a long time coming but I’ve finally made the move over to a new home for the photography projects, and hopefully some great blog posts about cool stuff you can do with your photos
I have a new project called Fifty 50 to get started later today and another one in the works (and by works, i mean ‘still floating around in my head’).
I’m also phasing out my twitter account @sh1ftorg for the sake of streamlining my tweets. I’ll be posting projects on Instagram too if you’re on there!
Visit and bookmark chasethelight.org (or direct link the blog chasethelight.org/blog), follow me on twitter @traceyh or instagram @traceytakesphotos
This site/blog will stay up so we can look back over the archives and past completed entries.
Thank you for reading this update and sticking around! Hope to see you there x
Instagram Photo Challenges!
Happy February everyone! I am still planning on running more photo challenges via sh1ft.org photographic projects, but in the meantime I thought I would share the fun Instagram photo challenges that I’ve come across.
Since I got my hands on an iPhone a few months ago, it’s been fun to use Instagram as another way to connect with other people and now that there’s more challenges, it’s great to see people get creative with their photos.
The most popular of Instagram challenges currently – it started with #JANphotoaday and now we’re onto #FEBphotoaday and I think it’s going to be even bigger this month! Chantelle is a dear friend of mine and I’m so happy to see so many people respond to her ideas on the net!
Photo Of The Day is another great Instagram game to get stuck into. Basically you tag your best Instgram photo with #photooftheday to be in the running! Too easy!
Weekend Hashtag Project is a series featuring designated themes & hashtags chosen by Instagram’s Community Team. For a chance to be featured on the official Instagram blog, follow @jayzombie and look for a photo from her announcing the weekend’s project every Friday.
If you’re not on Instagram, I definately think you should/can still play these photography games on your blog or on Flickr or Twitter. Just tag your photo comments with the relevant tags and away you go!
Ready to kick start your camera again? I am!
It’s been a photo drought here in our household, and it’s trickled into sh1ft.org photographic projects
But I have a plan, and I hope you stick around for it – 31 photos in 31 days in August 2010.
Take a photo of anything you like, post it to your blog, Twitter, Facebook or Flickr account, and come back each day to share your photo!
Make it an opportunity to test out a new (or old) camera, or take us on a tour of your life – just get out there and take a photo a day, every day in August.
Let me know if you’re thinking of trying it out - leave your comment or retweet this message.
Feel free to use the banners below to link back to sh1ft.org/projects
NOTE – please post your day’s photo in the relevant blog post. e.g Day 1, Day 2, Day 3
thank you!
just wanted to say a big thank you to everyone who has participated or blogged about 26 Things, A Day In The Life, Q&A or Quick Snap recently! there will be no ‘monthly’ game in October 2009, but we will be back in November with A Day In The Life; and another game of Quick Snap will be posted next week
do you love to photoblog? i wanna hear from you!
As part of the new sh1ft.org photography projects website, I’d love to feature our dedicated supporters by interviewing them and displaying some of their past sh1ft.org projects photographs.
