As many of you who have been following my career from the very beginning are well aware, my hot rock band Valley Lodge‘s song “Go” is the theme song for the excellent Last Week Tonight with John Oliver program. The video for the song (which was released over a year ago) is at the top of this post. Anyway, recently it was brought to my attention that Google has released a video demonstrating some new Gmail features that uses a very similar song for its background music (poster just below the Valley Lodge video). What do you think? Should I sue everybody everywhere or what?!

As many of you are well aware, I’m seriously good at analyzing classy food and stuff. In light of this, the people at the popular @midnight program recently asked me to critique some of the wonderful dishes from Guy Fieri’s popular Manhattan restaurant that everybody loves. Recently, my band Valley Lodge and I put on another variety show- Meet Me in the Bathroom and Tell Me All Your Secrets, we call it- over there at the Bell House in Brooklyn. As part of it, I did a live reading of my world-famous/infamous “Erotic Short Stories” with the band backing me up for extra heat. You can watch the video above. It’s a little quiet at first, but the sound is clear from the 28-second mark on, which is when it counts. Also, just a heads up in case you are at work right now- this video is probably not safe for viewing there in the event that getting super horny at your desk is frowned upon or anything.

This past Tuesday, which is to say August 5, 2014 for all you calendar buffs, I had the pleasure of having the legendary Dick Cavett, David Johansen (New York Dolls, Buster Poindexter), and Big Gay Ice Cream co-founder Doug Quint all on the same episode of the Goddamn Dave Hill Show on WFMU radio. As if all of that isn’t crazy enough, Doug brought his dog Buster with him and, man, that shit was nuts. Oh, and there are plenty of hot jams sprinkled throughout. Because I am a hip and happening young person, I was recently asked to appear on an episode of MTV’s Like the Show, which is hosted by Morgan Evans, another hip and happening young person like me. I did a super fun show at One Eyed Jacks in New Orleans this past Wednesday that was a super blast with great comedians Andrew Polk, Fayard Lindsey, and Molly Ruben-Long and also a special appearance by my buddy Phil Anselmo. Phil and I gave a sneak preview of a couple episodes of our upcoming web series “Metal Grasshopper” and then burned the place down with a scorching cover of “Please, Please, Please Let Me Get What I Want” by the Smiths, one of the greatest songs of all-time.
