Barman Matt Biancaniello Comes to Cliff's Edge

Ever since Matt Biancaniello left the Library Bar back in October, people have been wondering what his next move is. There have been talks of ice cream collaborations and announcements of cocktail classes, but no solid evidence of any sort of residency. Until now. It turns out that the acclaimed barman is going to be teaming up with another former employee of the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel, chef Vartan Abgaryan over at Cliff's Edge, for at least one night a week, with a possible extension.
Abgaryan started his new gig as the exec over at the Silver Lake restaurant late last year, and the two have been dreaming of doing a collabo since back at their days over at the Roosevelt.
For now Abgaryan and Biancaniello hope to host a new pairing dinner once every three months (for each season), but things could change if the event pops off on the first night.
The theme of their first dinner, which will take place on Wednesday, Feb. 6. will be "Little + Often: A Day in 7 Courses." It will take the diner through breakfast, lunch, dinner, and dessert, with snacks in between. And of course, Matty B's cocktails.
The Times reports that, "One of the most interesting creations of Biancaniello and Abgaryan's collaboration is the "lunch" course, which will combine the actual dish and the drink in a single glass -- an edible cocktail in the truest sense."
If it were done by anyone else, we'd crack some joke about this being exactly what Aziz and the Parks and Rec crew were poking fun at.
