Afternoon Tea at Holbeck Ghyll

Enjoy an English tradition in the very finest sense with one of Holbeck Ghyll's famously indulgent afternoon teas.

Each afternoon, as elegant yachts and the steamers ply their trade up and down Windermere, we bring out the best crockery, the finest Taylors of Harrogate teas (and coffee, if you're feeling adventurous), a splendid selection of finger sandwiches and an array of beautifully dainty cakes for residents and non-residents indulging in our famous Afternoon Tea.

For £18 per person, you can take tea in one of our Arts & Crafts lounges, by the inglenook fireplace and a roaring fire or, if the sun is shining, out on the terrace, with its delightful views of Windermere and the Lake District fells.

If you're marking a birthday, celebrating an anniversary or simply in the mood to indulge, our extra decadent Champagne Afternoon Tea costs £28 per person and is very popular.

Available throughout the week from 2pm until 4.30pm, booking is essential for a table in the lounges, however, seats by the fire in the beautiful Arts and Crafts Entrance Hall are often available for guests who just drop by.
