The mission of the Bountiful Police City Department is to provide the highest quality police services to the Community of Bountiful. To ensure public safety, order and equal protection under the law. To treat each person with dignity and respect by pledging ourselves to professionalism and integrity.
The Bountiful City Police Department currently has a police force of 36 officers. These 36 officers are divided among the different divisions that make up the department, such as patrol, detectives, school resource officers, and administrators. Many of the officers in the department are assigned to areas of responsibility above and beyond their primary duties. For example, a patrol officer may also be on call for crime lab assignments, the SWAT team, or a detective may work overtime at a junior high or elementary school in the P.R.O.S. program. The Bountiful City Police Department provides services to a community of approximately 45,000 residents.
The department also operates its own communications center. It currently has 11 dispatchers, and provides dispatch services for South Davis Metro Fire, and the police departments of Bountiful, West Bountiful, Woods Cross, and North Salt Lake. Dispatchers are the individuals that answer the phone when you call our business line or 911 and play a very important role providing emergency services for the community.
The dedication and efforts of these individuals, allows the police department to provide the citizens and businesses of Bountiful with efficient and effective police, fire, and medical services.
