Capacity Building Assistance and Training Institute
Capacity building refers to a “process to increase the skills, infrastructure, and resources” within an organization.
The Balm In Gilead’s Capacity Building and Training services are designed to strengthen faith-based organizations, community-based organizations, AIDS service organizations, and governmental agencies to effectively carry out their mission in addressing HIV and reducing health disparities.
When an organization or program invests in building its capacity, it invests in the overall health of the organization; optimizes its operations; increases its effectiveness, efficiency, and impact; and builds an infrastructure that will support growth and expansion for the future.
The Balm In Gilead is the construction worker that helps faith and other institutions to work efficiently and effectively toward achieving its mission. The Balm In Gilead will make use of your organization’s “sweat equity” (its skills, experience, and abilities) to increase capacity. Whether your organization or ministry is starting-up or well-established, The Balm In Gilead can work with you to improve your organization’s impact, effectiveness, efficiency and services.
