Welcome to Comfort Keepers®
As the summer months start heating up, it is important to remember that seniors are more vulnerable to summer’s heat and humidity. The American Geriatrics Society’s Foundation for Health in Aging (FHIA) reports that most of the 200 Americans who die each summer of heat-related complications are over 50.
Comfort Keepers would like to remind you to check on older adults at least twice a day to make sure they are safe and hydrated. Because of various medical conditions, many seniors may feel hydrated and cool enough, when in fact, their bodies are in desperate need of water and the temperature inside their home is extremely high. Other tips for helping seniors stay safe in their own home this summer can be found in our information center.
If you are unable to help your senior loved one during the summer months, consider contacting your local Comfort Keepers office for assistance.

Downsizing with Dignity
There may come a time in the life of your senior loved one when they face the need to downsize. Whether moving into a smaller home, an assisted living facility, or in with you…downsizing may seem a daunting task.
