Moto 360: It’s Time
When the three Android Wear watches were introduced, the Moto 360 stood out: premium leather strap, oblique glass, and a circular design – the first Android wear device sporting a round face.
A circular face is more watch-like, and that’s one of the reasons why Motorola chose this design for their Moto 360. Sure, there are analogue watches having a square face, but the Moto 360’s round face stood amidst the number of square smartwatches introduced to the world.
The materials used to create the Moto 360 were chosen carefully to make that “Whoa!” impression: a housing made of stainless steel and glass, and a leather strap coming from a sophisticated tannery and in Chicago. The Moto 360 is a smartwatch which is comfortable when you are wearing it, and its leather strap is better than the rubber strap of the LG G Watch and the Samsung Gear Live, making it look and feel like a regular watch. The Moto 360’s watchbands come in light gray, dark gray, or black which are interchangeable. The downside: you can only use specially made straps for it.
“We wanted to hit that ‘Whoa!’ mark.” – Jim Wicks
The Moto 360 is all face, totally unlike the square faces of the G Watch and the Gear Live. It’s screen is a touch one, and it’s 1.56 in across, with a 320 x 290 resolution, making it 205 pixels per inch. It is not the sharpest display, but for a gadget with a tiny screen, it is not that bad.
The closest competition that the Moto 360 will have is the soon-to-be released Apple Watch. As of the moment, The Moto 360 is by far, the classiest Android Wear watch ou there. But just like any other gadget, this smartwatch may fade out of the picture in a few months’ time. With the ever-continuous technological innovations, let us not be surprised for the next smartwatch that’s going to come out in the market in the future!

My tech, Quantified self
My latest Tech: Jawbone
So this is my new toy, it’s called a Jawbone and it ties into the quantified self. It does the normal job of tracking how much you move combined with an excellent tracking for sleep. It comes with a very swanky App called UP. Here is the screen shot:
At the moment (have been using it 1 month) I have two complains, neither are a deal breaker.
1. It gets in the way whilst typing. It’s blocky and a bit thicker than a watch so it does get in the way.
2. I wish it was water proof. I keep forgetting to take it off and it’s not water proof so it’s only a matter of time before I fry it in the shower.
