Welcome to the University of Arkansas at Little Rock Music Department. We hope that you will find this website informative and useful as you consider your formal musical education. br>
The Music Department is housed on the 150-acre campus, located minutes from downtown Little Rock, home of the Arkansas Symphony, the Clinton Presidential Library, the Arkansas Arts Center, and the Arkansas Repertory Theatre. The Fine Arts building includes a 300-seat Recital Hall, two large rehearsal halls, practice rooms, classrooms, and faculty studios and offices. A state-of-the-art music technology studio/classroom is located in the center of the campus and includes a recording studio that is available for students and faculty use. br>
The faculty members of the Music Department are nationally and internationally recognized in their fields of expertise. They provide students with an educational environment both demanding and supportive, and their success is evidenced by the graduates who have left and begun careers such as public school teachers, professional performers, conductors, college and university professors, music therapists, composers, scholars, administrators, and private music teachers. We take great pride in the success of our graduates.
We hope that you will carefully review the information provided in this website and that you will consider applying for admission to the UALR Music Department. Should you pursue the next phase of your formal education in music with us, we are confident that you will find a warm, friendly environment rich in musical and scholarly opportunities.
