You can change the "Blog for info pages" to "No blog" in the "Site Settings" view ( b2evolution.net/man/site-settings ). The visibility of the whole common header and footer can also be controlled in that settings form.

Hi @lucyhar,

It looks like a problem with the server's configuration ( https://www.google.es/webhp?sourceid=chrome-instant&ion=1&espv=2&ie=UTF-8#q=Timezone+database+is+corrupt ). I think you should contact the tech support of you hosting provider before us.

Thanks.

And another thing I forget:
- external links - a checkbox, if you want to open the links in the blogroll in a blank window.

In response to: [5.1.2] I don't get the BlogRoll/LinkBlog ordered as I wish

Ok,
I diff'ed the files and exchanged them. Great job!

Now one of the both points works - the categories are not links.

But how I get the links grouped by categories? Did I overseen a setting?

Hi mgsolipa,
thanks for your fast answer.

Now I know what is the meaning of "Order (as explicitly defineed" - and this is not what I want. I don't know, how much entries (link-titles) will come to the list and it is a parameter which I need give to every entry. But good to know where and what it is.

So I will sort it by date. And I will group this - as in the example above - by categories. In the widget (the original one) there is an option for this, which is activated at default. But it doesn't works. The order is like in the BlogRoll on my blog (blogs.ednong.de) in the right sidebar. I will try your download - I guess it is from a newer "version" than 5.1.2? - and look, if it will work there. Or is this a bug in the widget?

Thanks Manuel, I went there but did not check the entire page -- oops. Not too perspicacious.
Now the top_menu has two instances of my blog (Nutjob) in it, one for the naked URL and one for the URL with blog1.php.
Is there a way to remove the second one?

Hi @ednong,

The ordering that you are asking for could be set in the Expert Editor, inside the Properties block you will find a field Order (b2evolution.net/man/how-to-add-content).

Regarding the categories links, I'm afraid that there is not such a setting in the widget to control that, so, if you want, you can replace your file inc/widgets/widgets/_coll_item_list.widget.php by this other: https://gist.github.com/mgsolipa/4d4074f18d5e898b43f8 ( if you're using version 5.1.2 ). It adds a new parameter "Link categories" in order to let you control the links as you need and shown in the image above.

Regards!

At the end of the page I liniked above is a note with the path that you need to follow.

Note: this view could be found at b2evo > Structure > [Collection] > Settings > Features > Other

After clicking on every option:
Structure->Blog-name->Features->Other would be a better path.

Hi @dashs,

Just uncheck the "Include in public blog list" parameter for each collection that you want to hide from that list (b2evolution.net/man/features-others)

OK, figured that out.
Actually would like to remove the Top Menu with "Photos" "Manuals" etc completely.
Any hints?

I guess, this is the same problem I have had. You need to use the installer more than one time. Every time it will put up the schema version to a higher level.

I need to use it 4 or 5 times, if I remember this correct.

I upgraded from 5.0.6 to 5.1.2.

In response to: [IN PROGRESS] [5.1.2] German Umlauts (deutsche Umlaute) in Tags

spacer ednong

I have now tried the "Umlaut" in the demo. I created a new post and as tag I used "Stöckchen" (in Blog B).
This was visible after saving.
Then I clicked on "Edit" in the post.
In the Backend there was only a tag button with "st" - no more (no "null" tag button).

It seems, there is an error with the tags and umlauts.
Maybe it is the web-/html-side, which is in 8859-1?

Thanks Mr fplanque but I installed that but could see no such option. Will look again. Of course the other method is to set up a new blog with such posts

The default widgets are simplified. But there is one called "universal item list" which allows a lot of flexibility.

What I need now is a means of instigating the posting of an email to a specific user by b2. Is there an easy way to do that?

fplanque Thanks but I didn't find any such filters of the default installed widgets and

mgsolipa Thanks also: For now I'm just back dating them so they are off the grid.

I'll leave it to someone to decide if this post should be marked as solved

All the best
