Posted in Big Anklevich, Drama, Science Fiction, Short Story on June 24, 2014 by dunesteef
It’s the live episode we recorded at this year’s New Media Expo.
Gretta’s child is scheduled for “the test”. She knows he won’t pass it, and is determined to do everything she can to get out of it.
Afterwards, Big and Rish welcome in a whole group of guests to talk about the story and this year’s New Media Expo experience.
Special thanks to Justin Charles for producing today’s story, to Bryan Lincoln, Renee Chambliss, Marshal Latham, Abigail Hilton, and Johnny Fiesty for lending their voices to the episode.

Episode 159: TWSC – In The Gloaming by A. W. Gifford
Posted in A.W. Gifford, Drama, Fantasy, Short Story, TWSC on June 4, 2014 by dunesteef
Sarah feels alone and empty now that both Nana and Papa Bill have both passed on and left her to wend her way through life completely on her own. Could they possibly still have something in store for her to help her be happy?
Afterwards, Rish and Big discuss gloaming, gloaming, and more gloaming. Believe me, it really becomes tedious, and I’m a fan…of gloaming that is.
Special thanks to Jeremy Carter for producing today’s story, to Katherine Inskip for lending her voice to the episode, and to Dave Krummenacher for making today’s art.

Episode 150: Office Visit by Rish Outfield
Posted in Drama, Horror, Live Reading, Rish Outfield on January 3, 2014 by dunesteef
We promised it, and it’s finally here. Just in time for a new year’s New Media Expo.
Rish Outfield presents a “live” full-cast reading of his story “Office Visit.” Not much goes on in Genie and Sally’s little town of McKay, except for riding up and down Main Street on their bicycles. But when a new dentist opens an office there, and people start raving about his service, the girls take it upon themselves to investigate.
Afterward, Big and Rish are joined by the cast, Bryan Lincoln, Renee Chambliss, L. Scribe Harris, Marshal Latham, and Abbie Hilton, to discus their get-together, and the New Media Expo’s pros and cons.
Special thanks to Bryan Lincoln, Renee Chambliss, L. Scribe Harris, Marshal Latham, and Abbie Hilton for lending their voices to the tale.

Episode 142: BMSE – Saying Goodbye by Christopher Munroe
Posted in BMSE, Christopher Munroe, Drama, Fantasy, Short Story on April 14, 2013 by dunesteef
After a fatal heart attack, a man’s ghost tries desperately to let his wife know that he is well, and that she should move on and try to be happy. But without a body, he can do nothing but watch. There must be a way…
Later, Big and Rish bring you the long anticipated “Drawing of the Three”. What’s that you may ask? Well, it’s the drawing of the three words for each participant in the Triple Word Score Contest. Listen in and find out what you or others will be stuck crafting a story out of. Good times will be had by none…er, I mean all.
Special thanks to Melissa Hills for producing the episode and lending her voice to the tale, as well as Mustafaa Ansare for the music.

Episode 140: BMSE – Linger by Sam Schreiber
Posted in BMSE, Drama, Fantasy, Horror, Sam Schreiber, Short Story on March 9, 2013 by dunesteef
The phone rings in the middle of the night . . . and it’s time for Levi Keller to do his work once again. You see, sometimes he has to visit with someone after an “accident,” and let them know where they stand.
It’s another winning entry in the Broken Mirror Story Event, this one written by Sam Schreiber. Afterward, Big and Rish talk a bit about the BMSE contest, and about Gino Moretto’s production. They mention their recent visit to Las Vegas, announce a new Incentive Episode . . . and Rish Outfield makes a startling revelation!
Outtakes
Special thanks to Gino Moretto for producing today’s story and doing the artwork for it as well. Also thanks to Tatiana Gomberg, and Debbie Cowens for lending their voices to the tale.

Episode 139: The Road To Utopia Plain by Rick Kennett
Posted in Drama, Rick Kennett, Romance, Science Fiction, Short Story, Space Opera on January 24, 2013 by dunesteef
In this sequel to “The Battle of Leila the Dog,” everybody’s favorite Gartino, Cy De Gerch, returns home to Mars after nearly losing her life and her ship. But Mars is not the home she remembers . . . and her life there is not quite her own.
Afterward, Big and Rish talk about second chances and parallel timelines. With lots of irritating musical references. Be warned.
Special thanks to Renee Chambliss for producing today’s story and to Starla Huchton, Dave Robison, and Renee Chambliss for lending their voices to the tale.
