The Xootr Swift folding bicycle is a great bicycle which happens to fold. The Xootr Swift is a real bike with classic frame angles and wheelbase. It rides like a real bike. For most people it can be your only bike. It happens to get quite compact in about 10 seconds. This is very useful if you need to pop your bike in your car...or take it in an elevator...or carry it on a train. It will also pack into a standard suitcase (e.g., a Samsonite hardshell suitcase) with about 15 minutes of your time, so you can take it with you when you travel. We have gone to great lengths to make the hard decisions for you. You need only provide us with some information about your size and we will configure your Swift at the factory to meet your needs.

We are bicycle enthusiasts at Xootr and we ride the Swift folding bike for pretty much all uses except off-road mountain biking and road racing (and honestly, we've done some racing on a Swift as well). We commute by bicycle all year on the Swift. We also use the Swift for recreational riding and it makes an excellent family bicycle because it fits a wide variety of sizes.

The main advantages of Xootr Swift folding bicycles over a conventional bike are:

• Fits in your car easily without a bicycle rack.
• Fits in the elevator, on the bus, or in the cubicle easily.
• Requires very little storage space in the house or apartment.
• Lighter than an equivalent conventional bicycle.
• More cargo space behind your seat because of the smaller wheels, which can be exploited with the use of the CrossRack bicycle rack system.

The main advantages of a Xootr Swift folding bicycle over other folders are:

• Rides like a real bike. The ride is essentially exactly like that of a standard "hybrid" bicycle.
• Light weight (25lbs.). We believe the Xootr Swift is one of the lightest folders under $800.
• Fastest folding time. You can fold the Swift in 5-10 seconds.
• Standard bicycle components. You can modify, upgrade, and repair the Swift with industry standard components including tires, tubes, pedals, cranks, chains, handlebars, stems, brakes, etc.

Let us save you some time. If you are looking for the tiniest little folding bike, one that will amaze your friends as you pull it out of it's tiny little pocket pouch, then the Swift is not for you. The Swift gets fairly compact, but it is designed to be first and foremost a great bike on the road, not to be the tiniest bike on the market when folded up.

In unusual cases, you may need something special. For example, a Swift can be configured with a fixed gear (if you don't know what this is, you definitely don't want to know...). Or, you may expect to do an extended bike tour in the Alps and need super low gearing. In this case, you can build up your own Swift with our frameset or contact Peter at Design Mobility and he can set you up with a custom Swift. For 98 percent of our customers, none of the arcane technical details is relevant...you're going to be quite happy with the configuration we have optimized for everyday commuting and recreational riding. Furthermore, almost every single part on a Swift adheres to common industry standards. This means that everything from the chain to the headset to the seat can be swapped out. This gives you a lot of flexibility to configure your Swift to meet the nuances of your personal preferences.

Returns

Your satisfaction is very important to us. If at any time within thirty (30) days of the time of purchase you are not satisfied with your Xootr Swift folding bicycle for any reason, and if you bought the Xootr Swift directly from us, simply return the item to us and we will refund the full purchase price less any shipping (if applicable). If you prefer, we can send you a return label and deduct the amount of the return shipping from your refund as our commercial shipping rates are cheaper than normal retail shipping rates.

Warranty

We warrant that your Xootr bike is free of defects in materials or manufacturing for a period of one (1) year from the date of purchase, subject to the limitations indicated below. If at any time within one year of your purchase, you discover a defect in materials or manufacturing, please contact us or your authorized dealer for repair or replacement.

This warranty is void if the bicycle was not purchased new from us or an authorized dealer.

This warranty does not apply to normal wear and tear, including wear of tires, brake pads, and cables.

Subject to the following limitations, terms and conditions, Xootr LLC warrants to the original owner for the lifetime of the original owner that the BICYCLE FRAME is free of defective materials and workmanship. The lifetime limited warranty is conditioned upon the bicycle being operated under normal conditions and use, and properly maintained. This limited warranty does not apply to paint/finish or components attached to the bicycle such as front forks, wheels, drivetrain, brakes, seatpost, handlebar and stem (all of which are covered under the one year limited warranty above).

Damage caused by stunt riding, off-road riding, racing, or other abusive treatment is not covered by this warranty. This is a consumer warranty and does not apply to products used in rental operations.
