I disagreeThis idea is active.Software Features »Allow rescan of ID3 tags without losing analysis/quickCUEs
At the moment, if I update my music's tags using an external program (such as iTunes or mp3tag), I have to force analyse my music (or else delete TQDs and clear the database), for the updated tags to be shown in Torq. This means I lose all of my quickCUES/anchors/grid alignments and have to start from scratch with each track. This means I lose all of my quickCUES/anchors/grid alignments and have to start from scratch with each track.
I would like another option to be added to the right click context menus called "Rescan tags", that only scans the music's tags, re-importing the tag values - and leaves everything else (such as quickCUEs, anchors, BPM/waveform) untouched.
ie: Think of it like a "force analyse" where all the other steps (such as calculating BPM/clearing quickCUEs) are missed out - and the only thing actually performed is the "scan tags" part.
Note: This request is deliberately not covering being able to _export_ changes made in Torq back to the mp3s, since that's a much bigger issue and is best dealt with separately. This request is only for importing.

I disagreeThis idea is active.Software Features »Colored Waveforms
Simple idea, but HUGE plus in my opinion. I would love to see the waveforms colored based on the song's frequencies. This is the only feature I am jealous of my friends using Serato and (now) Traktor, for. I know it might slow down computer performance some, but maybe allow for it to be turned on/off?

I disagreeThis idea is active.Software Features »Loop drag´n´drop to sampler
Since I´m a 2 deck guy, i´d love to be able to drag´n´drop a running loop to a sample bank and have it playing immedatially with and option to unload the deck when the loop is dropped in the sample bank.
Would be great for live-mashups.

Add a lock/unlock button to the controller assignment window, which turns right-click mapping off/on. Default it to locked. It's very easy for both novice and experienced users to accidentally right click controls on-screen (eg when in the dark in a club, using a trackpad where the right mouse button is so easy to knock) without meaning to.
This comes up so many times on the forum - where people are saying that XYZ button no longer works.
I suggest:
- Adding a lock/unlock button inside the controller assignments window
- Making the default state "locked"
- This button means that people who are happy to leave it unlocked all the time, can still do so, if they are willing to take the risk
- Everyone else can just toggle it on/off as needed, and make sure it's locked again after they've made their changes.
An alternative implementation would be something like Ableton Live does - whereby there is a toolbar button in the main window, that when pressed, activates "mapping mode", and everything changes colour to make it more obvious then just accidentally right clicking on controls.
Thanks!

I disagreeThis idea is active.Software Features »Sort Files by "Date Added"
It would be nice to sort crates or the database by "Date Added"! This would assist those that would like for newly added files to appear at the top of the list - either in Torq's database, playlist, and/or crates.

I disagreeThis idea is active.Software Features »Browser Sorting
I would lik to see a secondary sort. For example sort first by key then by bpm. Allowing you to see all the tracks with the same key and bpm near each other.

Move sections and functions on Torq.
Hide objects (buttons and knobs not used), as on Traktor.

I disagreeThis idea is active.Software Features »Keylock for Sampler
This is a biggie for me. Samples with any kind of harmonic content become useless if the pitch is off. PLEASE allow sampler to maintain the same key-lock as the decks.
