Search Everything
Discover SMU Libraries searches (almost) everything owned by our libraries: books, journals, media, digital collections, and most academic databases. Rather than use one resource at a time, Discover SMU Libraries makes it possible for you to access (almost) everything with one single search. Because it is so comprehensive, this search tool is best for interdisciplinary or introductory research.

Search for Articles
Powered by Discover SMU Libraries, this search limits results to articles; so, what you find will not include books or media. Articles may come from journals, magazines, newspapers, trade publications, etc. If you want to limit to scholarly articles, check Peer-Reviewed.
Research Guides point you to the best resources for your subject area. Top databases by discipline, selected by your librarian, direct you to the right place to start researching.
eJournals by title allows you to find our full-text journals, magazines, and newspapers (Cosmopolitan, New York Times) by title. If you do not have a specific title in mind, use Research Guides to find where to search for articles.
More Search Options allows you to search by ISBN, title, date range, and more. If you have a citation and want to find out if SMU owns the work referenced, this is a really good way to search for it.
Search Books+
Books+ searches the SMU Library Catalog using keywords. Results include (nearly) everything owned by SMU Libraries including books, movies, journal titles, government documents, and more!
