I'll keep this short because there isn't much news. No updates in nearly half a year for the biggest break in the history of this site. Personal life has kept this from being updated and AdaptCMS being worked on, I can't really go into more details than that.

AdaptBB.com will be closed down in the coming few weeks and rolled into insanevisions.com/adaptbb since AdaptBB as a project itself is likely dead, at best will be a part of AdaptCMS.

Talking about AdaptCMS, for the near future the 2.0 Beta should be treated as at least possibly the last version of the script. Right now there are things I, myself, have to work through and I hope to very soon be back working on AdaptCMS and get it to be a great CMS but I also want to be able to put my all into it which I can't right now.

I will try to update this once I know more, but it could be some time, but I will post something this summer whether it is the end or not. Thank you all and I apologize to anyone that was looking forward to AdaptCMS 2.0 final coming out.

Instead of another beta the public release of AdaptCMS 2.0 will be releasing shortly. Some last minute features are being finished and a few minor bugs being fleshed out.

There were some features cut from the final release from the initial list when first starting out, but not a bad thing, 2.0 is only the start of the 2.x releases, simply a core start but by no means stripped down, there's a lot of features.

Stay tuned for the development as well as a demo for release.

After a lengthy delay Insane Visions is happy to announce that the AdaptCMS 2.0.2 Beta has been released!

Despite the delay there were many numerous bugs fixed as well as numerous new features and one more beta is expected to release as early as next week.

• ACP Quick Links - click a little add button on any ACP page and a quick link is added to the main acp area - a box where you can edit and change the name or insert anything in!
• Promote - Post content and a page shows features to help promote your article such as twitter and others.
• RSS

The next beta will likely be more features or finished polishing on some, some partial done features may be removed temporarily until they are finished for the final 2.0 release or held until a later release.

Another long delay unfortunately for AdaptCMS Beta and specifically for the 2.0.2 version, however work will be resuming once again starting next week.

As it is the next beta release has only a few plugins to be transferred from the 1.x releases and it will be all good to go. If progress can get back to normal after the release of 2.0.2 then some of the new major features brainstormed for 2.0.2 can be in the next beta and possibly a final 2.0 release can be out by winter.

With the lack of updates a big part of the reason is the work on a mini-site, which will likely end up as a full fledged website - Rock Reviews. The site is used most for AdaptCMS 2.0 testing as a live sample and also as a dynamic site running the site despite being just a beta.

The website continually adds content, lately every day or at least 3-4 times a week mostly concentrating on classic rock as well as some of the better modern rock music. At the moment it's fairly standard with album reviews (and rating) along with individual song ratings and song pages sometimes with a short comment.

However in the near future with more traffic the social aspect will be a major part. Meaning album/song reviews by users, collections, wishlists and a whole lot more. Be sure to check the site out to also see a very good use of AdaptCMS 2.0.

Rock Reviews

Just a quick update, ironically coming after a post that says "Work Resumes". However it is, again. The 2.0.2 beta will be another minor release, bringing in new features but the big ones will hopefully be in the next beta release so the final release is in the horizon.

But there will be a blog post going over some of the new/upcoming new features. Stay tuned.

After a few week downtime of AdaptCMS and really even longer on serious work, work has resumed on AdaptCMS - specifically AdaptCMS 2.0.2 Beta. There were some previous ideas and features on the list, but a new wave of brainstorming is taking place and more ambitious features are quite possible in this next beta. (such as user subscriptions and twitter/facebook integration)

There are other brainstormed ideas that could be very exciting so stay tuned. Expect a new blog (finally!) quite soon once progress has been made on these features.

Just a quick update for beta users, update your copy through the admin panel as there are numerous updated files and except them to be updated more in the next day or two.

Today the files affected introduce the "Quick Links" feature (please also download the javascript file) as well as RSS.
