AP2.5 games are booting on the new dashboard for you right now – no new patches.

As reported C4E was able to get Black Ops booting with a new fw hack on the new dash, however with an old copy of the disc (i.e. no new patches)

A bright spark called Smallman90 decided to see if he could get his games booting on the new dash with his LT v1.9+ by sitting there waiting to see what happened, and guess what ? they went from black screen to booting just fine after about a minute.

Now as there is obviously new checks and a new fw is being worked on we cannot tell you if it has been tested at all with XBL – so proceed with caution.

Saying that, if you are the adventurous type – give it a go and see if your AP.25 title boots after attempting to load for 1 minute (don’t wait more than 2 minutes)

When testing make sure you are using the latest dash, LT+ v1.9 and AP2.5 game patched with the very latest ABGX patches.

Black Ops Booting on 2.0.13599.0 Dashboard #C4E

As you all know (or should know), the AP2.5 challenges changed dramatically with the latest dashboard (not in the dae.bin either)

Over 140+ unique challenges were logged and that wasn’t even the end of it !

Anyway after speaking to C4 this morning, he told me that he has BO booting finally with yet another new firmware hack.

Early days yet, lots of testing needed. More news soon.

Easy FreeBoot v5.31

Sneakypeanut released a new version of his Easy freeBOOT – an application which will automate the creation of a freeBOOT image for JTAG-able consoles based on the original NAND image.

New Jungle Flasher, New Firmware, New SPUTNIK Unlock

A busy week !

• We have collected all of the bug reports surrounding the last release of Jungle Flasher and they have all now been fixed and are in testing as we speak.

• New versions of the 0272 firmware have also been found and this will address the issues some of you are having with Open DVD / Play DVD errors. be patient.

• The new AP2.5 challenges have been captured and there are differences which we can work with. Expect news soon.

SPUTNIK360

Thanks to some Russian guys, there has been a trace cut / solder backdoor hack discovered for unlocking the SPI status of DG-16D4S MXIC chipsets – kudos to those guys and thanks for opening some previously unseen doors. Unfortunatley most of the drives are Winbond, but this is a great platform to start from.

Naturally we will move this to the next level and have branded this the SPUTNIK360 hack in honor of our Russian colleagues. We are currently working on the more “in the wild” Winbond version with a number of well known associates.

The latest Jungle Flasher (with the bug fixes) also includes full support for SPUTNIK360 SPI LOCK / UNLOCK hack together with the X360USB PRO, so there will be no need for extra 3rd party software and you can be assured of full compatibility with the quality that you have come to expect from Team Xecuter and Team Jungle.

XeLL Updater v1.2

Tuxuser released a new version of his homebrew application that will allow you to easily update just the XeLL part of your freeBOOT NAND. It’d been updated following fbBuild v0.32′s release, and adds support for the 13599 kernel:

This little tool is needed to update XeLL in Flash/NAND properly. The freeBOOT/fbBuild Rebooter has a different layout compared to XBR or pure-XeLL images so the XeLL binary isn’t at the beginning of a NAND Block anymore.

Using the old updslot0/updslot1-Method (which worked on XBR and XeLL Images just fine) you would render your freeBOOT console non-booting (until you reflash it externally of course).

This application however works for freeBOOT/fbBuild It reads the specific part of the NAND, injects the XeLL binary and writes the blocks back.

Use it on Single-NAND freeBOOT only (9199, 12611, 12625, 13146 and 13599).

fbBuild v0.32

fbBuild v0.32 has been released, which will allow to create a freeBOOT-style NAND image and reboot JTAG-able 360s into the latest 13599 dashboard!

What’s new/fixed:

- corrected bad block detection bug on large block dumps (nandmu)
* correct mobile dat extraction on small block dumps for big block controllers

Maximus Lizard360: Gecko v1.14

Some of you may be doing a double take and wondering why we have Maximus news here at Xecuter Well regardless of what the squadrons of fanboys think, Max and I actually do work together from time to time and there isn’t any problems between the teams – other than the odd sly dig in advertising but thats just business marketing

Anyway, they have released a new version of  Gecko 1.14 and it includes full support for the Xecuter DG-16D4S Unlocked PCB and also PCB’s that have had the Pro Install kits fitted.

So here is a full plug just for you – don’t expect it too often lol

Have been a long day but finally we can approve Gecko 1.14 to public release. Since this is a Major Update we encourage you to update all the following:
a) Gecko 1.14 on your lizard (both application and flash)
b) Get Toolbox 1.30 from our download page
c) Get Latest Filesets from the Fileset Blog
d) Get Latest SD Card files (for standalone) from the Fileset Blog

We have implemented support for flashing the T-X pcbs but you can also use any unlocked SPI board to flash your custom firmware. We also have incorporated a Lock/Unlock option but currently works only on boards with switch (T-X boards at this moment).

As we anticipate if you already have a 0225 dummy file there YOU NEED REDUMP with this gecko 1.14, if you dont do that your drive hack will not likely work.

There is a reported bug about 0272 LTPlus 1.9 not replying back the proper real time checks, as soon as c4e fixes it we will just update the Filesets and SD card files, but meanwhile we have what is available.

Another important recommendation is to update the console Dashboard to latest 13599 before proceeding with custom hack. Be careful this update locks the 9504->0272 drives spi flash, so a good recommendation is to flash the original firmware over a board with switch (aka Team Xecuter) so once your dash is updated the board will be locked but since this board has switch you can unlock it easily and reuse on later job. To know what you need to do to update to latest dash read the following guide.

About the Russian Unlock Hack, we have seen it and we are looking to incorporate a safe and tested version on the very next Gecko update among other well appreciated goodies
