December 27, 2012 (Vernon Hills, IL and Columbia, MD)– When it comes to athletes comprehensive training is key.  And that training must include vision training.  Vizual Edge is the number one provider of online vision training in the world.  Having provided services to Olympians, professional athletes and the United Forces, Vizual Edge provides "Weight Training for The Eyes."  When it comes to upping their game, one in four 2012 College World Series players and one in four 2012 Major League Baseball draftees chose Baseball Factory as their training and instruction program. Today, Vizual Edge and Baseball Factory team up to create a unique, new player development experience at the Baseball Factory Christmas Camp and Tournament at Pirate City.

"At Vizual Edge, our goal is to evaluate a player’s visual skills and provide training tailored to any weakness that is detected.” Said Dr. Barry Seiller, Founder of Vizual Edge. "Baseball Factory recognized the value and importance in knowing and understanding a player’s visual skills and giving the player the opportunity to improve these skills."

Approximately 200 Baseball Factory event participants will now gain access to the Vizual Edge Performance Trainer™, a complete system that evaluates and trains an athlete’s visual skills, and provides verifiable, repeatable scores on a test-by-test level as well as a combined Edge Score®.   The only system of its kind, the VEPT™ focuses on the visual alignment, visual flexibility, depth perception, visual recognition and tracking ability of each athlete.  After an evaluation, which provides a baseline for developing a training program, weaknesses are identified and a training program is developed.  Most training programs last 8 weeks and require workout sessions 2 to three times a week for 10-15 minutes at a time.  VEPT is available on-line and in the comfort of the athlete’s own home, dorm or training facility.
