Commencement 2014: It was a joyous celebration of Brown’s 246th Commencement, its 250th year, reunions from the 5th to the 75th, the rare occasion when all honorary degrees went to Brunonians, and probably the first time you heard the word semiquincentennial in casual conversation.

The exchange continues: President Paxson delivered Tougaloo’s commencement address last month and later spoke with its president, Beverly Wade Hogan, about Brown’s half-century partnershipwith the historically black college in Mississippi.
