Requirements

To register and vote in San Francisco, you must be a U.S. citizen, a San Francisco resident, and at least 18 year old on or before Election Day. You must NOT be in prison or on parole for the conviction of a felony. You must NOT have been judged by a court to be mentally incompetent to register and vote.

To vote in the November 4, 2014 election, your registration card must be received by October 20.

To request a voter registration card, email or call the Department of Elections or register online with a California driver's license or ID at the California Secretary of State's website (below).

Early voting at City Hall

Any voter may vote early. Early voting is conducted outside Room 48 in City Hall. An accessible voting machine is available for voters with disabilities.
