MediaStorm Hiring Front-End Developer

MediaStorm is looking for a passionate and self-motivated Front-End Developer to implement and maintain web-based applications and websites for MediaStorm’s publication and client projects, as well as in-house and public-facing products and tools.

The ideal candidate will have proven technical expertise in creating complex web sites and applications using modern front-end technologies and frameworks. They will be working with back-end developers and interactive designers to lead and execute development.

Description
MediaStorm Front-End Developers will:

• Develop innovative production and workflow tools
• Work with Back-End Developers, Interactive Designers and Project Managers to establish production timelines
• Participate in client meetings and develop to their needs
• Work with designers to implement designs and user interfaces
• Be responsible for testing code across browsers and platforms
• Manage deployment of code updates to live websites
• Remain up-to-date with new web development trends and technologies

Qualifications
The successful applicant should have:

• At least three years of professional development experience
• Strong knowledge of Javascript, CSS2/3, standards-compliant HTML5/XHTML, and general OOP concepts
• Strong experience with jQuery, Backbone.js, and other JavaScript libraries and frameworks such as node.js and Coffeescript
• Experience with modern development workflow, testing, and version control tools (Git)
• An appreciation of well-designed user interfaces
• Experience in building large-scale community websites
• Ability to collaborate with a diverse team
• Ability to self-manage and meet aggressive deadlines
• Ability to work remotely if necessary
• Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
• Strong communication skills
• Experience with Facebook Connect and the Facebook API a plus
• Experience in Drupal a plus
• Some knowledge of server-side development a plus
• Some experience with mobile app development a plus
