Another Bundle of Goodies

Okay, so in the scramble to make money for shipping out what has been done (just about everything!), I had to make more BRS!

There are SIX Primo Lace (80/20 Merino/Silk, ~1000 yards) – $29.00 #24-29,

then FIVE Superwash Worsted Merino (100% superwash merino, ~215 yards), $25.00 #30-34;

and SIX Knitterman’s Lace (100% Merino, ~1000 yards), $24.00, #35-40.

To claim these off the rack just email me the number(s) of the skein(s) you would like.

These will be finished and ready for posting to the BRS page by Thursday, and any claimed before then will shop on Thursday.

Also, any lace request claimed during this preview posting from this batch (either #24-29 OR #35-40), in any amount of skeins will receive one of these shawl pins in your order, free ($12.50 value).

Shawl Pins!

I have a collection of hand crafted shawl pins from the Knitting Asylum clearance. They can be had for $12.50 (includes shipping inside the U.S.), OR you can get one free with your next new order this weekend. The first 12 new dye orders will get one, while supplies last. They average 5-6 inches in length and would be great for holding scarves or shawls into place, but you could also use them on your hats!

Also there are several Blog Reader Special skeins remaining to be adopted from the latest batch. Some have been claimed, but many lovelies remain.

This weekend I am playing catch-up on sooo many dye orders. Haven’t felt up to snuff lately, but whatever it was that had me down seems to have broken and I can actually breathe while standing up again, so I’ll be finishing the remaining dye orders this weekend so they can fly on Monday and Tuesday. I apologize for the delay.

Okay… this is what I’ve been working on the last couple weeks:

Lamb’s Pride Wool-Mohair blend, 140 Moebius cast-on stitches on Size 9 circular needle, 280 stitches per completed round.

Here is is lying flat, unblocked.

Then me showing it on its own over a t-shirt…. Then me with a light jacket, collars turned up as if against a wind….

and then with the collars folded down, so you can see how it might work with one of your own coats or jackets.

It is far too warm in Houston to need this more than once or twice a year, so I will likely be selling it this week or next while it is still c-c-cold enough in some parts to warrant a sale.

Mardi Gras Socks!

Gloria just shared pictures of the socks she made using my Mardi Gras Colorway! Aren’t they super! Mardi Gras is next Tuesday, so no time to order for this year, but if you want to put some aside for next year, go ahead and order and I’ll have the yarn to you in 3-4 weeks — plenty of time to knit for next year’s Mardi Gras!

I was digging through the workroom finding more treasures, and I came across these — part of the collection from Dez’s Knitting Asylum, which I’d forgotten about. They are a pair of simple necklaces with the popular lobster claw catches, each holding a stitch marker! What a clever idea, right! You can wear your one-of-a-kind markers on a one-of-a-kind necklace.

Plus… because the lobster claw clasps are attached to the necklace, you can always swap out to wear ANY of your other special stitch markers! How cool is that! Or, if your collection of markers already includes some with lobster claw clasps (or you have some other charms to show off) they can also be readily attached.

The one marked with Czech Glass has a slightly heavier chain; both are about 17 or 18 inches in length. Each one is $20.00 and will be shipped in a flat rate USPS priority box ($6.00), inside the U.S. Take them both, and they will travel in the same box. Outside the US, international rates apply.
