Muddy Outdoors Bloodsport Hang-On

I’ve been using Muddy’s Hunter Pro Hang-On and climbing sticks all season and I love my new fixed stand – so of course they went ahead and made it better!

The Muddy Bloodsport Hang-On has the same specs as the Hunter Pro. It’s 10.5 pounds and has a 26″ x 20″ platform. The new Bloodsport is all black including a black seat with the Bloodsport logo. But what really sets the Bloodsport apart from other stands is its unique attachment system – instead of using conventional ratchet straps and cam buckle straps the Bloodsport uses a rope and cam system similar to the Muddy Climbing Sticks – this makes setting up this stand virtually silent.

The special rope used to attach the Bloodsport to the tree is able to tighten down extremely tight to the tree forming a rock solid platform for the hunter to stand on. What’s even better about the rope used to attach the stand to the tree is that they double as backpack straps to help you carry your stand in and out of the woods. To top it off, Muddy also will be introducing a set of Bloodsport climbing stick which will also be all black to match the stand.

I’m very excited about this new stand from Muddy and I can’t wait to get my hands on one!

Looks like it's official, archery open until 1/31 in Suffolk County: content.govdelivery.com/accounts/NYSDEC/bulletins/e50ad3

The changes to the Suffolk County deer hunting seasons and permit requirements are summarized as follows:

• Extends the regular (bowhunting) season for deer in Suffolk County through January 31;
• Expands the special firearms season for deer in Suffolk County to run from the first Sunday in January (January 4) through January 31 including weekends. The 2015 firearms deer season in Suffolk County will begin Sunday, January 4 and continue until January 31;
• Clarifies the Town permit requirements, landowner permission requirements and legal implements for the special firearms season. The adopted regulations also include a provision waiving the Town Permit requirement in any town which by local law has waived the town permit requirement. However, this aspect will not take effect before next season (January 2016);
• Increases permit quotas for each town to reflect current deer management needs and allow for additional access opportunities on state land.

What does a can of whipped cream have in common with a bucket of paint? They both look awesome when shot in slow motion.
