My Voice Experience
Currently writing, editing and recording local news DAILY which I report on an award-winning broadcaster's morning drive talk radio show (audio is either by canned mp3 or in live reads in the studio). Also currently cutting ads for local and national brands.
Prior experience in television, theatre, music (lead and back-up live and recorded) and phone systems.
All are very satisfied customers!
My Training
in the mid 1980's I began my career in broadcasting with microphone and television training in a class at Rivier College for Television Broadcasting, I was just a teenager at the time.
In 1989, after winning several national awards for team and individual cheerleading (voice) skills including 'Most Spirited Cheerleader, I was asked to be a television co-host for a State Cheerleaders competition which broadcast several times on the state cable channel.
In 1992, I began music. My first demo was as the lead singer of 'Judy's Boxes' - a New Hampshire garage band. Later I recorded with several other studios with others and in solo projects.
The I got married and had kids.. which brings me to 2004..
I wrote a book and learned how to be a journalist. I was published in 2005 and dabbled in audio on my laptop at home since audio recording software was now readily available. Prior I had worked on 4-tracks and this new ability to mix on the computer was fantastic! I was just having fun.. made a few (mix-tape) DJ'd CD's but it wasn't until 2008 when I met my current voice project.. Local News.
I trained for about 6 months on a local radio show every day at/about 4AM to read, rewrite and record local news for the Morning Liftoff Show on WSMN radio in New Hampshire. I do not rip-and-read although on some occasions have had the necessity to do so; the recorded audio is uploaded each morning before the first broadcast at 6:10 am.
I am meticulous in my recordings - editing breaths and mixing background music to each broadcast recording. I also go into the studio and do live-reads on air and when I do, I become an On-Air Personality for anywhere from one to four hours of broadcast time M-F.
I really enjoy doing voice work which is why I am on Voice 1-2-3.
I hope you have enjoyed my voice bio; I am also an accomplished Author, Journalist and Public Speaker in my community.
